Axis as a metaphor
AXIS responds to the axis that connects diverse worlds -like the Axismundi-.
As the name of our first album, AXIS refers to the axis that connects four individualities in favor of a single identity and a single common goal, both musically and personally.
AXIS is also the name of the second cervical vertebra, which enables the rotation of the head. In our case, and as a group, the ability to rotate and look in any direction is fundamental to approach any type of repertoire with such a chameleonic instrument as the saxophone.
AXIS represents a seal, a personality, a common DNA that leads us to understand the saxophone from the same prism. The works, therefore, respond to this philosophy that unites us; the selected repertoire brings together the basis of classical expression, of transparency, which allows us to confront with all possible nuances the current creative repertoire.
It is therefore the classical, undoubtedly, the guiding thread that aims to vertebrae our recording work.
